Rhodolite garnets comes from Kenya, Tanzania, Sri Lanka and India. Mozambique garnets come from Mozambique. The color range of garnets is very wide and includes purple, pink, yellow, orange and green. Rhodolite is a raspberry color, while Mozambique garnet is a reddish orange. Both types of garnet have minor to few inclusions. These gems are somewhat heat sensitive and may crack when subjected to sudden temperature changes. Do not use steam cleaners to clean jewelry containing garnet.
