Imperial-Deltah is family owned and operated and is the oldest and most highly respected pearl company in the United States.  It is considered to be the premier source for pearls and pearl jewelry for over 100 years. Deltah is the oldest pearl company in the United States. It started started in 1892 manufacturing simulated pearls.  In 1900 Deltah  and  Mikimoto went into partnership to sell cultured pearls.   Deltah popularized cultured pearl jewelry in the United States in the 1940's and 1950's by using Hollywood screen stars to endorse their products.  Elizabeth Taylor, Loretta Young, Olivia de Havilland, Shirley Temple, Lucille Ball, Zsa Zsa Gabor, Ann Sheridan, Rita Hayworth, and former the First Lady, Nancy Reagan all appeared in Deltah promotions.

 Imperial Pearl started in 1917 and began importing cultured pearls from Japan after 1947.  The two companies merged to form Imperial-Deltah in 1977.  Today Imperial-Deltah is the largest pearl wholesale distributing company in the United States.
